Biography
Dr Anjali Patwardhan is a pediatric rheumatologist at the University Children's Hospital and associate professor at University of Missouri, school of medicine in Columbia Missouri, USA. She is a Professor of Pediatrics, a clinician investigator and an experienced quality improvement advisor in healthcare-policies. She has worked in multinational and multi-cultural settings throughout her career. She is trained in and worked as a physician in four countries within the three continents across the globe and has presented her work numerous times in a number of countries, as a physician, educationist and researcher. She has a strong educational background and experience ranging from Master of Science (MSc) focused in Health Policy and Quality in Health Care from The University of Birmingham UK, and Masters of Business Administration from (MBA) Wales University UK. She is also trained as the Improvement Adviser from IHI (Harvard, USA). She is a member of several academic organizations in research networks and led the ‘use of biologics in myositis’ project in the CARRA auto-inflammatory research working group.
Research Interest
Her research interests include autoimmune inflammatory myositis, juvenile arthritis-remissions and relapses, genetic syndromes with pulmonary hemorrhages.
